Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang and Sunset Cruise Dinner
Arrive in Luang Prabang and take a flight to this beautiful city. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a serene sunset cruise, complete with a traditional dinner and dance performance.
Day 2: Luang Prabang City Tour and Mount Phousi
Today, explore the charming city of Luang Prabang, located along the Mekong River. Once the religious capital of Laos, the city is home to over 100 temples, each offering a glimpse into the country’s rich history. Visit the Vat Xieng Thong, a magnificent temple complex considered one of the finest in Laos. Discover Vat May, built in the late 18th century with a distinctive five-sided roof and three parasols. Explore Vat Visoun, the city’s oldest temple, inspired by Khmer architecture, and Vat Aham, nestled beside two towering banyan trees. Don’t miss Vat Senna, the first temple to have a roof covered in vibrant yellow and red tiles.
In the afternoon, experience the traditional Baci Ceremony, an ancient Laos ritual where white cotton strings are tied around the wrists, accompanied by prayers and well-wishes for good health and fortune.
Finish your day by climbing Mount Phousi for stunning sunset views over the city. On your way back to the hotel, explore the bustling H’mong Night Market for local crafts and souvenirs.
Day 3: Pak Ou Caves, Elephant Camp, and Khuang Si Waterfalls
Start your day with a scenic cruise along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, a sacred site home to hundreds of Buddha statues. The caves are a place of spiritual significance and offer beautiful views of the surrounding area.
In the afternoon, head to the Elephant Camp, where you can enjoy optional activities such as elephant rides or bathing with the elephants. Next, journey to the Khuang Si Waterfalls, passing through picturesque villages and lush rice fields. If the weather permits, take some time to swim in the refreshing waters of the falls.
After a day of adventure, return to your hotel in Luang Prabang for a peaceful evening.
Day 4: Departure from Luang Prabang
