Day 1: UK to Budapest

Catch your flight to Budapest. Upon arrival, enjoy a smooth transfer to your hotel, where you can relax for the rest of the day. Known as the “Queen of the Danube,” Budapest was formed from the merging of the historic towns of Buda, Pest, and Óbuda. The city is famous for its deep history, lively cultural scene, and is often called the “City of Spas” due to its numerous thermal baths.

Today, embark on a guided walking tour through Budapest. Start with the impressive Buda Castle, which overlooks the historic Buda and Pest districts, divided by the Danube River. Explore landmarks such as Heroes’ Square, symbolizing the modern city, the grand Parliament Building, Margaret Bridge, and the Fisherman’s Bastion for breathtaking city views. You’ll also visit Matthias Church, Elizabeth Bridge, the Opera House, and St. Stephen’s Basilica. The evening is free for you to relax or explore further.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive along the Danube River, passing through Visegrad towards Esztergom. Known as the “Taj Mahal of Hungary,” Esztergom was once the capital of Hungary and is home to a historic town and a magnificent basilica perched on a hilltop. Continue your journey into Slovakia, where you’ll visit Bratislava, the capital city. Enjoy a walking tour of the charming old town, followed by some free time for shopping. In the afternoon, continue your trip to Vienna for an overnight stay.

Begin your day with a fascinating walking tour through Vienna, a city steeped in Baroque architecture and a rich Habsburg legacy. Known as the “City of Music,” Vienna will transport you to a world of grandeur. Start with a visit to the Schönbrunn Palace (viewed from the outside) and its beautiful gardens. Then, step back in time as you explore iconic landmarks like the Grand State Opera, the Parliament building, and the impressive Town Hall. Enjoy a stroll around Heroes’ Square, where you’ll marvel at the vast Hofburg Palace, home to 22 museums, and St. Charles Church.

Say goodbye to Vienna as you journey across the Austrian border into the Czech Republic. En route to Prague, make a stop at the UNESCO World Heritage town of Kutna Hora. Here, admire the impressive St. Barbara’s Cathedral (viewed from the outside), dedicated to miners, and visit the fascinating Kostnice and the Ossuary Sedlec Chapel, also known as the “Church of Bones.”

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a captivating blend of Gothic and Baroque architecture, much of which has remained unchanged for centuries. The city’s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, earning it the nickname “The Golden City.” During your walking tour, you’ll explore iconic sights such as Prague Castle (viewed from the outside), Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Town, and the Astronomical Clock, among others. In the evening, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
