Day 1: Starting the Journey to Uganda
Begin your adventure as you set off for Uganda, ready to explore its incredible landscapes and vibrant culture.
Day 2: Arrival in Kampala
Upon reaching Entebbe, head to your hotel to relax and settle in. Later in the evening, experience a peaceful sunset cruise on the stunning Lake Victoria.
Day 3: Exploring Kampala's Highlights
After breakfast, embark on a tour of Kampala, the vibrant capital of Uganda. Visit remarkable landmarks including the Uganda Museum, Bahá’í Temple, Kasubi Tombs, Rubaga Church, Wamala Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Hindu Temple, and the bustling African Craft Market.
Day 4: Journey to Jinja and Discovering History
Today, we head towards Jinja, passing the impressive Owen Falls Dam as we approach the town. Please note, taking photos near the dam is prohibited. Explore the historic Source of the Nile River and take a city tour of Jinja. Visit the Mahatma Gandhi Monument and witness the beauty of Itanda Falls, where the Bujagali Falls once flowed before being submerged for a hydro-electric project.
Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park Adventure
Start your day with an early drive from Kampala, passing through Uganda’s rural villages, on your way to Murchison Falls National Park. First, stop at Ziwa White Rhino Ranch for an exciting rhino tracking experience on foot. Afterward, enjoy a packed lunch before heading to Murchison Falls for a scheduled afternoon boat cruise at 2:00 PM. Cruise upstream to the base of the falls, where the Nile becomes calm before narrowing into a 6-meter canyon, plunging 40 meters with an impressive roar. Along the way, observe wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and possibly elephants, alongside a variety of bird species including the Goliath heron, pelican, bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork. At the falls, disembark the boat for a guided hike to the “Top of the Falls” for a close-up view of this stunning natural wonder. The hike takes around 1.5 hours, and afterward, you’ll be picked up and transferred across the ferry to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Scenic Drive to Mbale
Start your day with an early morning game drive along the northern bank of the River Nile. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, Cape buffalo, Rhod’s child giraffes, hartebeest, Oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, and spotted hyenas, with a chance of spotting a leopard if you’re lucky. Return to the lodge for breakfast, collect your packed lunches, and begin your journey. Travel via Lira to Soroti for a brief city tour before continuing on to Mbale, where you’ll arrive late in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 7: Journey to Eldoret, Kenya
After breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Eldoret, Kenya. Along the way, make stops in Mbale and Tororo, where you’ll see the famous Tororo Rock. Cross the border at Malaba into Kenya, continuing your journey to Eldoret. The Maasai originally called the area “Eldore” (meaning “stony river”), named after the Sosiani River, but the South African Voortrekkers who settled here in 1910 found the name difficult to pronounce, so they renamed the settlement Eldoret. Arrive in Eldoret for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Exploring Eldoret and Onward to Kisumu
Start your day with a city tour of Eldoret, including visits to its temples. Afterward, continue your journey to Kisumu, enjoying the scenic drive through picturesque landscapes and charming small towns along the way. Arrive in Kisumu by the afternoon and check in for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Discovering Kisumu
Kisumu, formerly known as Port Florence, was first connected by railway in 1901 and sits on the sloping shore of Lake Victoria’s Winam Gulf. Once a small town, it has grown into one of the busiest hubs in western Kenya, serving as a gateway to Uganda, Ruwenzori, and Burundi. Today, take a tour of Kisumu, visiting its iconic temples, including Jain, Hindu, and Gurudwara, and enjoy the scenic views along the shores of Lake Victoria.
Day 10: Exploring Kericho and Nakuru
After breakfast, depart for Kericho, known for its lush tea plantations. Take a guided tour of the plantations and learn about the tea production process. Afterward, continue your journey to Nakuru, where you’ll enjoy an orientation tour of the town upon arrival. Spend the night in Nakuru.
Day 11: Flamingos and Thompson Falls
Begin your day with a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you’ll witness the breathtaking sight of pink flamingos. Then, continue towards Nyeri, stopping along the way at Nyahururu to visit the stunning Thompson Falls. In the evening, experience an unforgettable stay at the Ark Lodge, built on a wooden structure overlooking a water hole and salt lick, offering incredible wildlife viewing throughout the night.
Day 12: Journey to Nairobi via Thika
After checking out from Ark Lodge, begin your drive towards Nairobi. Along the way, pass through Karatina and Sagana, making a stop in Thika to visit the beautiful Chania Falls and the Jain Temple. Continue your journey to Nairobi, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.
Day 13: Leisure Day in Nairobi
Enjoy a relaxing day in Nairobi, giving you the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends and family. Take this time to unwind and explore the city at your own pace.
Day 14: Arrival at Maasai Mara
After breakfast, head towards the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, famous for its diverse wildlife, birds, vibrant flora, and breathtaking landscapes. Covering an expansive 520 square kilometers, the Mara is home to iconic animals like the Maasai lions, African leopards, cheetahs, zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, and wildebeests. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch and take a short rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Search for the Big Five—lion, leopard, African elephant, buffalo, and black rhinoceros—and if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of the great migration (depending on the season). Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 15: Full Day in Maasai Mara
Start your day with an early morning game drive, immersing yourself in the wild beauty of Maasai Mara. After returning to the lodge, enjoy some leisure time to relax and explore the lodge’s amenities. Following lunch, set out for an afternoon game drive, searching for more wildlife sightings, and return to the lodge in the early evening. End the day with a hearty dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 16: Return to Nairobi
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi for a one-night stay.
Day 17: Journey to Mombasa
Set off early in the morning for Mombasa by road. Along the way, stop at Makindu Gurudwara for a snack and pass through Sultan Hamud and Emali. Midway to Mombasa, visit Mtito Andei and take a brief orientation tour of Voi. As you continue, drive through the scenic Tsavo National Park on both sides of the highway. Stop for prayers at Mackinnon Road and pass Mariakani before finally arriving in Mombasa.
Day 18: Mombasa City Tour
After breakfast, head to the heart of Mombasa, the second-largest city in Kenya, located along the coast. Mombasa is uniquely connected by a ferry to the southern part of the city, Likoni, and by a causeway to the north, Makupa. During the city tour, explore key landmarks such as Fort Jesus, the vibrant Mwembe Tayari open-air market, local bazaars, and handicraft carvers. Stroll through the famous winding alleyways and visit the business district. Drive through areas like Makupa, Makadara, and Kilindini, and stop by the Hindu and Jain temples. In the evening, visit the Lighthouse to try some Mogo and Madafu before heading back to your hotel.
Day 19: Relaxing at the Beach
Spend the day unwinding and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Mombasa. Take in the serene surroundings, relax on the sandy shores, and soak up the sun at your leisure.

Enjoy a full day of relaxation at the beach. Take time to unwind, enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze, and soak in the peaceful coastal atmosphere. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying Mombasa’s stunning shoreline.
Day 21: Departure from Mombasa
After an early breakfast, check out and head to Mombasa International Airport for your flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, connect to your international flight back to London.
