Day 1: Journey to Lima

Day 2: Arrival in Lima
Upon reaching Lima, complete your immigration and customs procedures before heading to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore at your own pace. Enjoy your overnight stay in Lima.
Day 3: Lima City Tour & BCRP Museum
Today, explore Lima, a city with rich historical significance since its foundation by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. Begin your tour by heading to the historic center, passing by Huaca Pucllana on the way. At the Main Square, admire landmarks like the Government Palace, Archbishops Palace, City Hall, and the Cathedral, perfect for capturing photos of the city’s impressive colonial architecture. Visit the 18th-century San Francisco Monastery and its Catacombs, then continue to the Banco Central de Reserva Museum (closed on Saturdays and Sundays), where you can see Peru’s valuable pre-Columbian treasures, including gold, ceramics, and textiles from ancient cultures through to the Inca period. Discover the residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores, the bustling commercial districts, and enjoy a scenic view of the Pacific Ocean. Day 4: Arequipa City Tour - Santuarios Andino Museum & Santa Catalina Convent
After an early breakfast, board your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, begin with an orientation tour of this beautiful city, starting at Plaza de Armas, where you can admire the Cathedral from the outside. Take a walk to explore the cloisters of La Compañia Church and the San Francisco Square. Next, visit the Santuarios Andinos Museum at Santa María Catholic University, home to the famous “Lady of Ampato” (Juanita), an Inca mummy of a young girl sacrificed to the mountain gods, found preserved in ice on Mount Ampato after 500 years. Continue your tour with a visit to the Santa Catalina Convent, established in 1580, where you can wander through its cloisters and picturesque streets, frozen in time for centuries. Day 5: Arequipa to Colca Valley – Chivay

Day 7: Arequipa to Cusco – Pisac – Ollantaytambo – Sacred Valley
Transfer to the airport for your early morning flight to Cusco, then continue your journey to the Sacred Valley. Start by visiting Pisac Inca Citadel, perched on a mountain range and offering panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. This impressive site includes ancient temples, residential areas, agricultural terraces, and astronomical observatories built by the Incas centuries ago. Afterward, explore the village of Pisac, known for its vibrant handicraft market. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before heading to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town still inhabited today. Day 8: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the train station for a scenic ride to Aguas Calientes, located at the base of the Machu Picchu ruins. From there, take a bus up to the ancient site and enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu, a remarkable city constructed entirely of stone blocks with incredible precision. The site includes temples, houses, warehouses, and a large central plaza, all interconnected by narrow paths and steps. It is surrounded by agricultural terraces carved into the mountainside. In the late afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, then drive to Cusco for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Cusco City Tour – Inca Ruins
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Cusco, starting with a visit to the Main Square, Cathedral, and the Santo Domingo Church (Koricancha), an important Inca site that was later transformed into a church. Afterward, explore four significant Inca ruins located near the city:
- Sacsayhuaman Fortress: A pre-Inca architectural marvel perched above Cusco, offering panoramic views of the city.
- Kenko: A sacred rock site with a monolithic altar resembling a puma.
- Puca Pucara: Known as the “Red Fortress,” this site was used for military purposes.
