Day 1: London to York City Cruise

Begin your day by meeting your tour guide and setting off towards York. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour of this historic city, founded by the Romans. Explore the impressive York Minster (viewed from the outside) and stroll along the ancient City Walls. Take a climb up to Clifford’s Tower for panoramic views of the city. Later, relax on a 45-minute cruise along the River Ouse, offering a different perspective of York. In the evening, check into your hotel in the Hull area, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants within walking distance to enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Today, we begin with a visit to the stunning North Yorkshire Moors. Our first stop is Pickering, where you’ll board a historic steam train bound for Goathland, a famous location for the filming of Heartbeat and Harry Potter. Afterward, we head to Whitby, a charming coastal town. Enjoy some free time to explore, including a visit to Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for Dracula, and Captain Cook’s memorial statue. In the afternoon, we continue to Scarborough, where you’ll have time to relax by the sea. Finally, we return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy an orientation tour of Hull, a city known for its maritime history. You have the option to visit The Deep Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the UK, home to sharks, penguins, and more (entrance not included). Next, we travel to Harrogate for an orientation tour of this beautiful spa town. Visit the Royal Pump Room (viewed from the outside) and indulge in the famous Fat Rascal scones at Betty’s Café Tea Rooms. After a delightful lunch, we begin our journey back to London.
