Day 1: Journey to Queenstown
Begin your adventure by boarding your flight to the stunning town of Queenstown, nestled in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island.
Day 2: In Transit to Queenstown
Spend the day traveling as your flight takes you closer to the breathtaking landscapes of Queenstown, your gateway to adventure.
Day 3: Arrival and Transfer to Te Anau
Arrive in Queenstown and continue your journey with a scenic transfer to the peaceful town of Te Anau. Settle in and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 4: Milford Sound Adventure and Return to Queenstown
After breakfast, embark on a journey to Milford Sound, pausing along the way to admire the stunning landscapes, including the serene Mirror Lakes. Upon arrival, board the MV Milford Monarch for an unforgettable cruise through the fjord, all the way to the Tasman Sea. Marvel at the breathtaking beauty of Milford Sound, featuring the iconic Mitre Peak, dramatic waterfalls, and deep blue waters. Later, return to Queenstown for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Exploring Queenstown and Journey to Wanaka
Start your day with a short tour of Queenstown, including a visit to the iconic Kawarau Bridge, the birthplace of bungee jumping. Whether you decide to take the leap (optional) or simply watch, it’s an exciting experience!
After lunch, head to Lake Hayes, known for its beautiful scenery and mirror-like waters. Next, visit the charming Arrowtown, a historic village established during the gold rush of the 1860s.
Continue your journey to Gibbston Valley Winery to learn about the region’s winemaking heritage. Enjoy a tour of their unique wine cave, carved into the mountains to provide perfect conditions for storing wine.
Travel along the picturesque Cardrona Valley Road to reach Wanaka, where you will spend the night.
Day 6: Explore Wanaka, Mt Cook, and Glaciers
Start your journey in Wanaka, a vibrant town known for its ski resorts and summer activities. Today is a treat for both the eyes and the camera. Begin with a visit to Lake Matheson, where, weather permitting, you can capture stunning reflections of Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. Next, head to Fox Glacier, a 13-kilometre-long glacier surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. The day continues with a stop at Franz Josef Glacier, another impressive glacier in the region. End the day with an overnight stay in Franz Josef.
Day 7: Journey from Franz Josef to Christchurch
Today, we embark on a scenic drive along the famous Trans Alpine route, traveling through Arthur’s Pass from Greymouth to Christchurch. If time allows, we’ll stop at Lake Pearson, a stunning hourglass-shaped lake nestled in the High Country, offering a perfect photo opportunity.
Upon arrival in Christchurch, enjoy an orientation tour of this vibrant city. If time permits, consider a visit to the International Antarctic Centre (tickets not included).
Spend the night in Christchurch, resting up for the next leg of your journey.
Day 8: From Christchurch to Wellington
Start your day early as we journey towards Picton for the ferry ride to Wellington. En route, we’ll stop at Paparoa Point, a notable site in Māori folklore, where the story of Paikea, the whale rider, is told. From the viewing platform, enjoy stunning views over the Hikurangi Trench.
Once in Picton, board the ferry across the Cook Strait to Wellington, the capital city.
Spend the night in Wellington, ready to explore more of this vibrant city tomorrow.
Day 9: Wellington to Palmerston North
Start the day with an orientation tour of Wellington, taking in key sights such as the waterfront along Wellington Harbour, the iconic Parliament Buildings, the quirky Bucket Fountain, and the National Library. Don’t miss the chance to ride the Wellington Cable Car, a funicular railway offering fantastic views as it travels from the main shopping street of Lambton Quay to Kelburn.
After exploring Wellington, continue your journey to Palmerston North. In Palmerston North, you can visit the New Zealand Rugby Museum, which showcases sporting memorabilia like vintage All Blacks uniforms. Also, explore the Te Manawa Museum, focusing on art, science, and history, or enjoy the natural beauty of Manawatu Gorge, with its lush forests and native bushland.

Day 10: Palmerston North to Rotorua via Lake Taupo and Huka Falls
Today, we begin our journey to Lake Taupo, a vast and stunning lake in New Zealand’s North Island, roughly the size of Singapore and located in the caldera of an ancient volcano. Once we arrive, enjoy a scenic cruise on the lake, where you’ll have the chance to view the impressive Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings. These extraordinary carvings, reaching 14 meters above the water, depict Ngatoroirangi, an ancestor of the Māori people. Sculpted over four years and completed in 1980, the carvings are a remarkable piece of New Zealand’s cultural heritage.
After the cruise, we’ll continue our drive to Rotorua, stopping along the way to visit the breathtaking Huka Falls.

Day 11: Rotorua to Auckland via Te Puia and Waitomo Caves
Start the day by immersing yourself in the geothermal wonders of Rotorua. The air, filled with the scent of sulphur, reveals the area’s proximity to the earth’s hot core. Visit the Te Puia Thermal Reserve, where you can explore the bubbling mud pools and steaming geysers. Learn about Māori culture with a tour of a traditional village, including the Meeting House and craft center. Enjoy the serene lakeside views and the sight of graceful black swans on the water.
Next, head to the famous Waitomo Caves, a fascinating region filled with limestone caves and remarkable formations. Take a guided tour through the Glow-worm Grotto, where you’ll float on an underground boat, surrounded by shimmering glow-worms and unique stalactites and stalagmites.
Continue to Auckland for an overnight stay.
Day 12: Auckland City Exploration
After breakfast, check out and begin your city tour of Auckland. Start by crossing the iconic Harbour Bridge to the North Shore, then return to the city center to explore Queen Street and the vibrant Auckland Viaduct.
Next, visit the Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, set on the remnants of an ancient volcano. Stroll through the charming village of Parnell, where historic buildings now house trendy boutiques.
Continue along the scenic Tamaki Drive to the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park in Mission Bay. Here, you’ll see a tribute to New Zealand’s first Labour Prime Minister, known for founding the welfare state. The park offers stunning panoramic views of the city, Waitemata Harbour, and the surrounding landscapes—perfect for capturing beautiful photos.

Day 13: Departure from Auckland
