Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday, complete the immigration and customs procedures. Depending on your arrival time, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy and head to Sweetwaters Tented Camp, which is home to the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Enjoy a delightful lunch upon arrival, followed by an afternoon game drive. Spot the majestic lion, elephant, buffalo, and other wildlife, and if you’re lucky, a leopard too. After dinner at the camp, you can opt for a Night Game Drive, available for booking at the camp. Overnight at the camp.

Enjoy a leisurely start to your day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a full morning game drive through the stunning Ol Pejeta Conservancy. During the drive, visit the Rhino Sanctuary to meet Baraka, the blind rhino, and observe various plains game. You’ll also visit Kenya’s only Chimpanzee Sanctuary, dedicated to rehabilitating chimpanzees rescued from the black market. After returning to the camp for lunch, embark on an evening game drive to spot even more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Camp.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy Highlights

Ol Pejeta is East Africa’s largest sanctuary for black rhinos and home to three of the last remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world. It is the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees in a sanctuary focused on rehabilitating those rescued from illegal trade. The conservancy boasts some of the highest predator densities in Kenya while supporting a successful livestock program for local communities. Ol Pejeta’s story is both captivating and inspiring.

After a hearty breakfast, depart for Lake Elmenteita, a beautiful soda ash lake nestled in the Great Rift Valley and home to tens of thousands of flamingos. Arrive in time for a delicious lunch, then spend the afternoon relaxing. Enjoy a swim or take a peaceful walk along the lake shore, soaking in the stunning scenery. In the evening, indulge in dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.

After breakfast, head towards Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its rhinos and the possibility of spotting even more flamingos. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch, then set off for an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife. Return to the lodge in the evening for a lovely dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, with a brief photo stop at the scenic Rift Valley View Point. Upon arrival and check-in, you’ll have the option to take a peaceful boat ride on the lake. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing at your leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, journey through the scenic Rift Valley towards the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, a vast wildlife haven teeming with diverse animals, birds, and lush landscapes. Covering an area of 520 square kilometers, Masai Mara is home to iconic species such as Masai lions, African leopards, cheetahs, zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, and wildebeest. Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five (lion, leopard, African elephant, buffalo, and black rhino). Depending on the season, you may also witness the famous migration. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you have the option to choose between a Full Day Safari or a Morning & Afternoon game drive. If you opt for the Full Day Safari, packed breakfast and lunch will be provided. For the Morning & Afternoon game drive, you’ll enjoy a packed breakfast, followed by lunch at the lodge, and then continue with the afternoon drive. After an exciting day of wildlife spotting, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You can also take an optional Balloon Safari or visit the Masai Village (additional costs apply). Please inquire at the time of booking for further details.

Today, you can choose between a Full Day Safari or Morning & Afternoon game drives. If you opt for the Full Day Safari, packed breakfast and lunch will be provided for you to enjoy during the day. If you prefer the Morning & Afternoon game drives, you’ll have a packed breakfast to start your day, followed by lunch at the lodge, and then head out again for the afternoon safari. After a thrilling day of game viewing, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

After an early breakfast, depart for Nairobi. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your onward flight if you’re departing after 15:00hrs. If your flight is earlier, consider booking a later departure, as there will be an additional cost for accommodation and transfers.

Alternatively, unwind after your safari adventure by extending your trip with a few relaxing days on the beautiful beaches of the Indian Ocean along the Kenyan coast.
