Kochi (Cochin), known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, is a vibrant coastal city where centuries of global trade have blended cultures — Portuguese, Dutch, British, Arab, Chinese and local Kerala traditions. This 3-day Kochi experience covers history, culture, beaches, museums, local food, village life and the stunning backwaters.
Visitors will explore world-famous attractions such as the Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi Synagogue, indulge in sunset views, ride on India’s first Water Metro, and experience the rural charm of Kumbalangi Village. Optional activities like kayaking and canoe rides offer a peaceful way to soak in Kerala’s natural beauty.
Day 1 – Explore Fort Kochi
Morning
Begin your day at the Chinese Fishing Nets – the best time is sunrise. Watch fishermen operate the nets (demo available for ₹100–₹200).
Walk towards the Marine Walkway, a breezy stretch facing the sea. Great for slow walks and photography.
Late Morning
Head to St. Francis Church, India’s oldest European church and original burial site of Vasco da Gama.
Lunch
Enjoy a waterfront meal at Sea Gull Restaurant – known for seafood, Kerala meals and a great view.
Evening
Visit Fort Kochi Beach – mostly for scenic views, however swimming is not allowed. Best visited at sunset.
Wrap your day strolling through Princess Street, a heritage-filled lane lined with cafés, boutiques, and galleries.
Day 2 – Heritage, Museums & Water Metro
Morning
Start at the Indo-Portuguese Museum, showcasing Portuguese influence on Kerala’s culture.
Walk or drive to the Naval Maritime Museum to learn about India’s naval heritage through ship models and displays.
Afternoon
Explore the Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace, famous for Ramayana murals and royal artefacts.
Post-Lunch
Wander through Jew Town – antique stores, spices, colourful streets, perfect for leisure shopping.
Visit the Paradesi Synagogue, known for chandeliers from Belgium and hand-painted tiles.
Evening
Board the Water Metro from Fort Kochi to Marine Drive – India’s first water metro system.
Once at Marine Drive, enjoy the long promenade, food stalls, and optional sunset boat rides (starting ₹400).
Day 3 – Backwaters, Kayaking & Village Life
