Day 1: Arrival in Port Blair - Cellular Jail & Light and Sound Show
Arrive in Port Blair in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. After lunch, visit the National Memorial – Cellular Jail, a historic monument that stands as a symbol of India’s freedom struggle. Built by the British in 1906, this three-story prison was designed for solitary confinement, earning it the infamous name Kala Pani. Many freedom fighters endured unimaginable hardships here, and today, the Cellular Jail is a revered pilgrimage site commemorating their sacrifices.
In the evening, experience the captivating Sound and Light Show at the Cellular Jail, which brings to life the heroic tales of India’s fight for independence. This immersive show vividly portrays the prison’s history and its connection to the freedom struggle.
Enjoy an overnight stay in Port Blair.
Day 2: Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island) & North Bay (Closed on Wednesdays)
Start your day with breakfast before visiting Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island (formerly Ross Island), the administrative hub during British rule in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Now under the care of the Indian Navy, the island features remnants of colonial structures, now mostly in ruins. The small museum Smritika preserves historical photographs and artifacts from the British era. Stroll through lush green walking trails and encounter the friendly deer that roam the island.
After exploring Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island, head to North Bay, also known as Coral Island. This destination is renowned for its vibrant coral reefs and offers optional activities like glass-bottom boat rides, snorkeling, sea walking, or scuba diving (additional cost), providing an up-close view of the underwater world.
Return to Port Blair in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) - Radhanagar Beach (Departure at 06:00 Hrs)
After an early breakfast, transfer to the jetty to board a cruise to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island), situated about 54 kilometers northeast of Port Blair. This tropical paradise, covering approximately 86 square kilometers, is renowned for its serene beauty, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life. Home to nearly 1,000 marine species, the island is a haven for scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, offering encounters with nudibranchs, sea slugs, ghost pipefish, jawfish, and an array of colorful crustaceans.
Upon arrival at the Swaraj Dweep Jetty, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7), a highlight of the island. Located on the western side of Swaraj Dweep, Radhanagar Beach gained global fame when Time magazine named it Asia’s best beach in 2004. With its pristine white sands, lush tropical forest backdrop, and expansive shoreline, the beach offers a tranquil escape and a stunning setting for relaxation or exploration.
After enjoying the beauty of Radhanagar Beach, transfer to your hotel on Havelock Island for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Havelock Island - Kalapathar Beach - Return to Port Blair
After breakfast, visit the enchanting Kalapathar Beach on Havelock Island. This serene and less-crowded beach is known for its golden sand, turquoise waters, and the striking black rocks that contrast beautifully with the silver sands. Nestled next to the village of Kalapathar, the beach is surrounded by lush green forests, offering a tranquil escape for those seeking peace and natural beauty.
Take a leisurely stroll along the soft sands, enjoy the gentle sea breeze, or relax under the shade of coconut groves. For a unique experience, you can bring a hammock, tie it to a tree, and unwind while soaking in the stunning scenery. Kalapathar Beach’s picturesque landscapes make it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography, adding a memorable touch to your visit.
In the afternoon, as per the ferry schedule, transfer to the Swaraj Dweep Jetty for your return journey to Port Blair. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the Port Blair Jetty and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight stay in Port Blair.
Day 5: Wandoor Beach - Departure (Check-Out Time: 08:00 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and head to Wandoor Beach, located about 30 kilometers from Port Blair. The drive takes you through areas transformed by the 2004 tsunami, where former paddy fields now resemble serene lakes. These wetlands have become a haven for migratory birds, making them a delightful attraction for birdwatching enthusiasts.
Spend some time soaking in the natural beauty and tranquility of Wandoor Beach before transferring to the airport for your departure.
Return home with cherished memories of your unforgettable Andaman holiday.
