Day 01: Arrival - Cellular Jail & Light and Sound Show

Arrive in Port Blair in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. After lunch, visit the Cellular Jail, a National Memorial that holds immense historical significance. Designed for solitary confinement, the prison earned the Andaman Islands the infamous name “Kala Pani.” Built by the British in 1906, this three-story structure has a prominent place in India’s struggle for independence, having housed many of the country’s freedom fighters. Today, it serves as a solemn pilgrimage site, reflecting the untold suffering endured by those who were imprisoned here.

In the evening, experience the captivating Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail. The show brings to life the heroic stories of the Indian freedom struggle, offering a vivid and emotional portrayal of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

Overnight stay in Port Blair.

After breakfast, visit Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island (Ross Island), which served as the administrative capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during British rule. Now managed by the Indian Navy, the island is a relic of its colonial past, with ruins of old British structures scattered across the landscape. Explore the Smritika Museum, which showcases photographs and artifacts from the British era, and enjoy the island’s lush green trails and friendly deer that roam freely.

Later, sail to North Bay Island, also known as Coral Island, renowned for its vibrant coral reefs. Here, you can indulge in optional activities such as glass-bottom boat ridessnorkelingsea walking, or scuba diving to explore the underwater beauty.

Return to Port Blair in the evening for an overnight stay at your hotel.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the jetty to board the cruise to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island), located approximately 54 kilometers northeast of Port Blair. Known as a tropical gem, Swaraj Dweep spans 86 square kilometers and is renowned for its pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and clear waters, making it a haven for snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts. The island’s marine life includes nearly 1,000 species, such as nudibranchs, sea slugs, ghost pipefish, jawfish, and a variety of fascinating crustaceans.

Upon arrival at Swaraj Dweep jetty, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in, unwind and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the island’s tranquil ambiance.

Overnight stay at Havelock Island.

After breakfast, embark on a shared fiber speedboat to visit Elephant Beach or Light House Beach, just a 30-minute ride away. These beaches are ideal for snorkeling, offering calm, shallow blue waters that are perfect for beginners. Optional activities such as glass-bottom boat ridessnorkelingsea walking, and scuba diving are available at an additional cost, providing opportunities to explore vibrant coral reefs and marine life.

The picturesque surroundings, featuring white sands and fallen trees, make these beaches a haven for relaxation and photography enthusiasts. The coral reef, starting just a meter from the shore, is rich with hard coral formations and teeming with marine biodiversity.

After your beach visit, return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Havelock Island.

After breakfast, head to Radhanagar Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Known as Beach No. 7, it is often considered the crown jewel of Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). Located on the western side, Radhanagar Beach gained international acclaim when Time magazine named it the finest beach in Asia in 2004. Surrounded by lush tropical forests and offering a vast stretch of white sand, this beach is perfect for relaxation and photography.

The beach’s beauty and tranquility attract many beach lovers, offering opportunities for a variety of activities. After spending time at the beach, return to the hotel for check-out.

In the afternoon, take the ferry back to Port Blair as per the scheduled timing. Upon arrival in Port Blair, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head to Wandoor Beach, located 30 km from Port Blair. The scenic drive takes you through areas that were affected by the tsunami, where former paddy fields have now transformed into water-covered landscapes resembling a lake. This area is now home to migratory wetland birds, making it a popular spot for birdwatchers.

After enjoying the beauty of Wandoor Beach, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.

Return home with cherished memories of a wonderful holiday.
