Day 1: Arrival in the Himalayan Kingdom

Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Receive a traditional welcome and a short briefing on your upcoming cultural adventure. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps strolling through the vibrant local markets.

Begin your morning with breakfast before visiting Pashupatinath Temple, the world-renowned Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue to the massive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas globally and a focal point for Tibetan culture. After lunch, visit Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan) to witness the mystical reclining statue of Lord Vishnu floating on a sacred pond.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Explore the heart of the city at Kathmandu Durbar Square, a complex of ancient palaces, courtyards, and temples that served as the seat of the Malla kings. In the afternoon, ascend to Swayambhunath, popularly known as the “Monkey Temple.” This hilltop stupa offers a stunning 360-degree view of the entire Kathmandu Valley and is a symbol of religious harmony.

Journey to the ancient city of Patan (Lalitpur), the “City of Fine Arts.” Explore the Patan Durbar Square, the Golden Temple, and the Krishna Mandir, renowned for its exquisite stone carvings. Spend your final afternoon at leisure for last-minute shopping or independent exploration of the valley’s hidden alleys.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Enjoy a final Nepalese breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, carrying home the divine blessings and memories of the Kathmandu Valley.

1. Is the Pashupatinath Temple open to all visitors?
