Embark on a captivating journey through the heart of the Himalayas with our 6-Day Kathmandu & Chitwan Wilderness Escape. This perfectly balanced itinerary pairs the ancient spiritual heritage of the Kathmandu Valley with the raw, subtropical beauty of Chitwan National Park. From exploring UNESCO World Heritage temples and medieval palaces to tracking the rare one-horned rhinoceros on a jungle safari, experience the dual soul of Nepal—where vibrant city culture meets the untamed wild.

Day 1: Arrival in the City of Temples (Kathmandu)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. After a brief orientation regarding your heritage and wildlife circuit, enjoy an evening at leisure to explore the local streets and prepare for your adventure.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Begin your exploration at Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu shrine in Nepal. Continue to the massive Boudhanath Stupa, a focal point of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon, visit Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan) to see the floating reclining Vishnu statue, and conclude your day at Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple) for a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, drive toward the subtropical plains of southern Nepal to reach Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, check into your jungle lodge and receive a briefing on the upcoming wildlife activities. In the evening, witness a vibrant Tharu Cultural Dance performance by the local indigenous community.

  • Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Spend a full day immersed in the wilderness. Embark on a Jungle Safari (Jeep or Elephant) to track the rare one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tigers, and various deer species. Enjoy a Canoe Ride on the Rapti River to spot crocodiles and water birds, visit the Elephant Breeding Centre, and take a guided nature walk through the lush forests.

  • Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Enjoy a final morning of bird watching before driving back to Kathmandu. The rest of your day is free for last-minute shopping in Thamel or a visit to the ancient city of Patan (Lalitpur) to admire its exquisite stone carvings and medieval architecture.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, carrying with you the diverse memories of Nepal’s sacred heritage and untamed nature.
