Day 01: Arrival – Cellular Jail & Light and Sound Show

Arrive at Port Blair in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. After lunch, visit the National Memorial, the iconic Cellular Jail. Built by the British in 1906, this three-story structure was specifically designed for solitary confinement, earning the islands the infamous name Kala Pani.

The Cellular Jail holds a significant place in India’s freedom struggle, having housed numerous freedom fighters who endured inhumane atrocities within its walls. Today, it stands as a solemn pilgrimage site for those honoring their sacrifices.

In the evening, enjoy the captivating Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail, where the heroic tales of India’s freedom struggle are brought to life. This immersive experience highlights the profound connection of the jail with India’s fight for independence.

Overnight stay at Port Blair.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the jetty to board a cruise to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island), located about 54 kilometers northeast of Port Blair. Known as a hidden gem, Swaraj Dweep is a tranquil tropical island spanning approximately 86 square kilometers. Its crystal-clear waters are celebrated as some of the world’s best for snorkeling and scuba diving, teeming with a rich diversity of marine life, including nudibranchs, sea slugs, ghost pipefish, jawfish, and vibrant crustaceans.

Upon arrival at the Swaraj Dweep Jetty, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the iconic Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7), often referred to as the crown jewel of Swaraj Dweep. Situated on the island’s western side, this stunning white sand beach gained global acclaim when Time Magazine named it Asia’s finest beach in 2004. Surrounded by lush tropical forests, Radhanagar Beach offers a serene and picturesque setting ideal for relaxation and leisure activities.

After exploring the beach, transfer to your hotel in Havelock and unwind. Overnight stay at Havelock.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and begin exploring the scenic beauty of this lush green island, known for its vibrant plantations and tropical forests.

Shaheed Dweep spans an area of 18.9 square kilometers and is adorned with paddy fields, banana plantations, and lush greenery. Located about 40 kilometers east of Port Blair, this tranquil island is perfect for nature lovers and backpackers alike.

Discover its pristine sandy beaches, including Sitapur, Bharatpur, and Laxmanpur, which rank among the most beautiful beaches in the Andaman Islands. The island’s serene ambiance, breathtaking sea views, and lush surroundings offer a rejuvenating experience for travelers.

After your day of exploration, return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Shaheed Dweep.

Explore the Smritika Museum, which houses photographs and artifacts from the British period, and enjoy the lush green walking trails and friendly deer that roam the island.

Following your visit to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island, sail to North Bay, also known as Coral Island. This destination is renowned for its vibrant coral reefs and marine life.
