Frequently Asked Questions
Is an Inner Line Permit (ILP) required to visit Tawang, and how is it arranged?
Yes, all Indian tourists require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Arunachal Pradesh, and foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP). Our package includes the arrangement of the ILP prior to your arrival to ensure a hassle-free journey.
What kind of fitness level is required for this wild adventure and scenic escape?
While this is an adventure-and-scenery-themed tour, the physical demand is moderate. You will be traveling to high-altitude areas like Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and Tawang (10,000 ft). A basic level of fitness is recommended, and travelers should be prepared for long, winding mountain drives.
Are ATMs readily available in Dirang, Bomdila, and Tawang?
ATMs are available in larger towns like Bomdila and Tawang, but they frequently run out of cash or face network issues due to the remote location. It is highly advisable to carry enough cash from Guwahati or Tezpur for personal expenses, local market shopping, and optional activities.
Can we experience local Monpa cuisine during the trip?
Absolutely! In towns like Dirang and Tawang, you can try traditional Monpa dishes. Don’t miss out on authentic Thukpa, Momos, Zan (a millet-based dish), and the locally brewed butter tea (Suja) at local eateries or during your homestay experiences.
