Discover the mystical allure of the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” with our signature 4-day Bhutan escape. Nestled in the heart of the Himalayas, this journey offers a rare glimpse into one of the world’s last remaining “Shangri-Las,” where ancient Buddhist traditions meet breathtaking mountain landscapes. From the vibrant capital of Thimphu to the gravity-defying Tiger’s Nest in Paro, immerse yourself in a culture defined by spiritual harmony, inspiring architecture, and the legendary warmth of the Bhutanese people.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Journey to the Capital

Your adventure begins with a spectacular flight offering panoramic Himalayan views before landing in the Paro valley. Upon arrival, breathe in the crisp mountain air and meet your representative for the drive to Thimphu. Start your sightseeing at Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) to witness the nation’s largest Buddha statue and enjoy sweeping views of the valley. Later, explore the Textile Museum and the vibrant Craft Bazaar to see the living art of Bhutanese weaving and handicrafts.

  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, dive into local heritage at the Simply Bhutan Museum, a living museum showcasing traditional architecture and age-old lifestyles. Visit the Motithang Takin Preserve to see the unique national animal of Bhutan in its natural habitat. After lunch, drive back to Paro to visit the Ta Dzong (National Museum), housed in an ancient watchtower, and the majestic Rinpung Dzong, known as the “fortress of the heap of jewels,” featuring exquisite Buddhist wall paintings.

  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Fuel up for an unforgettable excursion to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Perched on a cliffside 900m above the valley floor, this sacred site is where Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated. The 5-hour hike is a spiritual rite of passage for many. Conclude your sightseeing at the 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, marking the very introduction of Buddhism to the Kingdom.

Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Paro International Airport. Your representative will assist with exit formalities as you bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
