Day 1: Arrival in Paro & The Capital View
Arrive at Paro airport after one of the world’s most spectacular mountain flights. After formalities, drive to Thimphu, the capital city. Visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) to see the massive Buddha Dordenma Statue and enjoy panoramic views of the Thimphu valley. View the historic Simthokha Dzong before an evening at leisure.

Day 2: Thimphu’s Living Heritage
Explore the Simply Bhutan Museum, a living museum depicting age-old Bhutanese lifestyles and ancient architecture. Visit the Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the “Father of modern Bhutan,” King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Discover the national art of weaving at the Textile Museum and shop for hand-woven treasures at the Craft Bazaar. Conclude with a visit to Tashichhodzong, the “fortress of the glorious religion” and the seat of government.

Day 3: Scenic Passes & The Temple of Fertility
Drive to Dochula Pass to witness the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens against a mountain backdrop. Continue to Punakha and hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the famed “temple of fertility” situated on a hillock. Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, built at the junction of two rivers, and walk across one of Bhutan’s longest and most stable Suspension Bridges.

Day 4: Punakha Excursion & The Nunnery
Embark on a 2-hour hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, a classic example of Bhutanese architecture designed to bring peace and harmony. Post-lunch, visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang, a nunnery housing one of the country’s largest bronze statues of Avalokiteshvara. Interact with the nuns at their higher learning center to learn about their daily routines.

Day 5: The Glacial Vales of Gangtey
Drive to the high-altitude Phobjikha Valley and visit Gangtey Goenpa, a monastery perched on a hill rising from the valley floor. Experience the Gangtey Nature Trail, a 90-minute hike through pine forests and bamboo shrubs, offering views of the black-necked crane roosting areas. Visit the Black Necked Crane Visitor Centre to learn about the natural history of these endangered birds.

Day 6: Returning to Paro
Drive back to Paro, once again crossing the Dochula Pass. Visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower that now houses the National Museum. Follow this with a visit to Rinpung Dzong (the “fortress of the heap of jewels”), a site with a long and fascinating history.

Day 7: The Legendary Hike to Tiger’s Nest
Proceed for a full-day excursion to Taktshang Monastery, popularly known as the “Tiger’s Nest”. Perched on a cliff 900m above the valley floor, it is Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred site. Spend your final evening with an exploratory walk around Paro Main Street and the local market area.

Day 8: Departure
After an early breakfast, transfer to Paro airport for your onward flight. Our representative will assist with exit formalities and bid you a warm farewell.
