Explore the capital city of Phnom Penh with its royal landmarks and cultural sites, then travel to Siem Reap to witness the world-famous Angkor temple complex. From vibrant markets and historical museums to architectural marvels and lively night scenes, this itinerary offers a complete Cambodian experience in a short duration.
Day 1 – Arrival in Phnom Penh
Arrive in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city. Meet your representative and transfer to the hotel.
After some rest, begin your city exploration:
- Visit the Royal Palace, a stunning Khmer-style complex built in 1866
- Explore the nearby Silver Pagoda, home to Buddha statues decorated with gold, diamonds, and gemstones
- Walk along the riverside where four rivers meet, including the Mekong
- Visit Wat Phnom (Phnom Daun Penh), a sacred hill and symbolic landmark
- Explore the Central Market, a unique domed market built during the French colonial era
Overnight: Phnom Penh
Day 2 – Phnom Penh → Siem Reap
After breakfast, continue sightseeing in Phnom Penh:
- Visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), a significant historical site from the Khmer Rouge era
- Enjoy shopping at the Russian Market, known for local goods and souvenirs
Later, transfer to the bus station and travel to Siem Reap (optional flight available at extra cost).
Arrive in Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s ancient temples. Check in and relax.

Day 3 – Angkor Temples Full-Day Tour
After breakfast, explore the legendary Angkor complex:
Morning:
- Enter through the South Gate of Angkor Thom
- Visit Bayon Temple, known for its iconic smiling stone faces
- Explore the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King
- Visit the Royal Palace area and ancient temple structures
Afternoon:
- Discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II and dedicated to Lord Vishnu
- Admire its intricate carvings, grand towers, and architectural brilliance
Evening:
- Enjoy leisure time at the Angkor Night Market or nearby pubs
Overnight: Siem Reap
Day 4 – Siem Reap Leisure / Local Exploration
After breakfast, the day is free for leisure.
You can:
- Explore local markets and cafés
- Experience Cambodian culture and nightlife
- Shop for souvenirs or relax
Overnight: Siem Reap
Day 5 – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return journey.
