Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I handle the high altitude in Lhasa?

The itinerary is designed with an arrival day in Lhasa dedicated entirely to rest and acclimatization. We recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding strenuous activity, and consulting with your doctor regarding altitude medication before travel.

We assist with the paperwork for the Tibet Travel Permit; however, travelers must possess a valid Chinese Visa. Please note that special regulations apply for Tibet entry, and we recommend booking at least 45 days in advance.

The Beijing to Xi’an route typically uses soft-sleeper compartments (4 beds per cabin). It is a clean and efficient way to travel, offering a unique glimpse into the Chinese landscape.

For both Tibet and Nepal, it is respectful to dress modestly. Shoulders and knees should be covered. In Tibet, hats should be removed inside chapels, and photography is often restricted or requires a fee inside sacred areas.
