Day 01: Arrival in Moscow
Arrive in Moscow and meet your representative at the airport. Transfer to your hotel by private vehicle and check in. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and settle into your Russian winter experience. Overnight stay in Moscow.
Day 02: Moscow City Tour
After breakfast, explore the highlights of Moscow on a guided city tour. Discover the city’s impressive architecture, historic landmarks, and vibrant urban landscape. Visit the Kremlin and explore some of Moscow’s iconic sights. Later, return to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Moscow.
Day 03: Moscow Sightseeing & Sparrow Hills
After breakfast, continue exploring Moscow with your guided sightseeing experience. Enjoy a cable car ride at Sparrow Hills, offering beautiful views over the city. Visit the Cosmonauts Museum and discover Russia’s remarkable contribution to space exploration. Overnight stay in Moscow.
Day 04: Moscow – Murmansk
After breakfast, transfer to the station/airport for your onward journey to Murmansk. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in. The remainder of the day is free to relax and prepare for your Northern Lights adventure. Overnight stay in Murmansk.
Day 05: Murmansk City Tour & Icebreaker Lenin
After breakfast, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Murmansk. Discover the city’s important landmarks and visit the historic Icebreaker Lenin, one of the region’s notable attractions. Later, return to the hotel and enjoy some leisure time. Overnight stay in Murmansk.
Day 06: Saami Village Cultural Experience & Northern Lights Hunting
After breakfast, head out for a fascinating cultural experience at a traditional Saami village. Learn about the local community, traditions, and way of life. Later, prepare for an exciting Northern Lights hunting experience, venturing away from city lights in search of the spectacular Aurora Borealis. Overnight stay in Murmansk.
Day 07: Murmansk – Aurora Train Journey to St. Petersburg
After breakfast, enjoy some free time before boarding the Aurora Train to St. Petersburg. Travel in comfortable 2nd-class accommodation and enjoy the changing winter landscapes along the way. Overnight journey towards St. Petersburg.
Day 08: St. Petersburg City Tour
Arrive in St. Petersburg and transfer to the hotel. After freshening up, enjoy a guided city tour covering some of the city’s renowned landmarks. Visit the magnificent Hermitage Museum and explore the historic Peter & Paul Fortress. Overnight stay in St. Petersburg.
Day 09: St. Petersburg Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Enjoy your final moments in St. Petersburg before your private transfer to the airport/train station for your onward journey. Tour ends with wonderful memories of Russia’s winter landscapes, culture, history, and the Northern Lights.
